Expedition to a lonely island in the open waters of Strait of Juan de Fuca.
First dive on the northwest side of Smith Island, which is slowly being consumed
by the winter storms. The lighthouse, constructed in 1858 stood 200 feet from the western edge is now gone, the bluff eroding year by year until the ground below the lighthouse disappeared. Strong currents, flat bottom, not much of marine life, lot of curious Dogfish sharks..
